The Comoros national team players are leaving Yaoundé for Garoua ahead of their clash against the Indomitable Lions

The Comoros Coelacanths had been based in the Cameroonian capital since their arrival in Cameroon for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

However, the Comoros team has now arrived in the town that will host the opening match of the qualifiers between the Coelacanths and the Indomitable Lions. The Comoros national team delegation set off for northern Cameroon on 23 September.

It is in Garoua that the Comoros will face Cameroon on Thursday 24 September in their opening match of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. The match will be played at the Roumdé Adjia Stadium.

This opening match is crucial for the Comoros side in their bid to qualify for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, which will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. Following the clash against Cameroon, the Comoros will host Namibia on 29 September on matchday 2 of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
