Bryan Mbeumo puts Cameroon two goals ahead against the Comoros

The Indomitable Lions are running riot against the Coelacanths at the Roumde Adjia Stadium on the opening matchday of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Cameroon are living up to their reputation in this qualifier for the next Africa Cup of Nations. As David’s side hosted the Comoros on 24 September in Garoua, they dictated the pace of the game.

The Cameroonians took control of the match from the first half, opening the scoring. David Nyengue found the back of the net in the 38th minute, putting the Indomitable Lions 1-0 ahead of the visitors. The Cameroonian midfielder made a lasting impression by scoring his first goal on his international debut.

Captain Bryan Mbeumo doubled the Indomitable Lions’ lead in the second half. The Manchester United striker scored Cameroon’s second goal in the 47th minute to make it 2–0.
