In the early hours of March 15, the ATP 1000 tournament match in Indian Wells commenced, featuring Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev.

The players exchanged initial games, but the third encounter was abruptly halted due to an unexpected occurrence - bees swarmed the court. However, Lance Davis from Killer Bee Live Removal came to the rescue. Engaged in beekeeping since 1971, he happened to be in Indian Wells at the time, enabling his timely intervention.

Arriving at the court with his equipment, Davis found the bees clustered on a spider web. Setting up his gear, he proceeded to vacuum the bees into a containment unit for live capture.

"I can then extract them and release them into one of my hives, which I have on hand. They're tuned for this. They're adjusted for this. This time of year is swarming season, so they're flying everywhere," shared the hero of the day.

He further expressed his satisfaction at being present to assist and ensure such incidents are avoided in the future.
