Ten Hag wants to sign his next former Ajax charge

Erik ten Hag has taken a lot of his charges to Ajax since his move to Manchester United and, another player the Dutchman is targeting has also crossed paths with him at the Amsterdam side.

Football Insider is reporting Manchester United's interest in West Ham support midfielder Edson Alvarez, who moved to the Hammers a year ago from Ajax for €38 million.

The chance to reunite with ten Hag is expected to appeal to Alvarez, who impressed at West Ham in his debut season.

Man United are ready to make an enquiry for Joao Neves from Benfica if they fail to get their top target - but he has a £70million kickback clause which is not expected to be honoured by United in the summer window.
