Steve Barker has backed Bafana Bafana to do well in this year’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The newly-appointed Simba Fc coach said Bafana are on the upward trajectory and have the possibilities of annexing this 35th edition trophy in Morocco.
“I’m very proud of what they’ve achieved in the last while, and we’re fully behind them, and we wish, Coach Hugo Broos, and the whole squad, the best of luck,” Barker, who left Stellenbosch FC last week, told iDiski Times.
“Let’s go one step further in the last AFCON, and why not go there and win it? So, yeah, all the best to them. Fully behind them and support them.”
Bafana’s Afcon campaign begins today when they face Angola in their first Group B match.
The match starts at 7pm.
