South Africa's Hugo Broos not sure if he will continue as a coach after this World Cup
Hugo Broos is not certain if he will continue coaching in football after this World Cup tournament.
The Bafana Bafana coach disclosed after guiding the team to the knockout stages that these games are his last but not he global spectacle.
“This is probably one of my last games as a coach… but you never know, certainly my last World Cup,” said Broos after South Africa beat South Korea 1-0 at the Estadio Monterrey earlier this morning.
“The next one is in four years when I’m 78. I don’t think that’s an age to be on the bench. Certainly in those nervous moments, it’s not good for the health.”
Safa, Broos' employers, are already looking for the man to replace Broos as that process started before the World Cup.
Sunday, Broos and his men will face Canada in the last-32 match which is for the first time in South Africa's World Cup history to reach the knockout stage.
