Siyabonga Ngezana knee injury may rule him out of Bafana Bafana's Africa Cup of Nations 25-man squad
Siyabonga Ngezana may not go to the Africa Cup of Nations.
The FCSB defender sustained a knee injury over the weekend in the Romanian derby when his side faced Dinamo Bucaresti.
This may mean he will miss Bafana Bafana’s Afcon tournament in Morocco this month.
The game ended in a 0-0 draw.
But the former Kaizer Chiefs defender was the casualty.
“His knee hurt and he couldn’t continue. He went to therapy this morning, let’s see if he can play on Thursday,” FCSB General Manager Mihai Stoica told the Fanatik.
Ngezana is expected to play a key role when his club face Feyenoord in the Europa League before he heads to the Bafana camp.
Ngezana is expected to join the Bafana camp later as per agreement with Safa and his team but the injury and its extent is unknown but reading from the club’s GM, it may seem that Ngezana may miss Afcon.
