Lebogang Phiri has joined Sekhukhune United.

Sekhukhune announced the 31-year-old midfielder today on their Social Media pages.

The midfielder spent 13-years in Europe, playing in France and Denmark.

In the Danish League he played for Brondby IF and spent stints at French sides Paris FC and EA Guingamp.

Phiri has not played in the PSL before and this is the first time he would be playing his football in the country.

While playing abroad, he earned six caps for the national side and perhaps, his decision to return home is motivated by a desire to be in the Bafana side.

Phiri’s arrival makes him Sekhukhune United’s third signing of the current transfer window ahead of the Betway Premiership second round.

Lehlohonolo Mojela and Ivorian player Amede Tidiane Diomande also joined Eric Tinkler’s side.
