The Saudi Minister of Sports, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, acknowledged that Mohamed Salah satisfies all the prerequisites to compete in the Saudi Pro League, but he refrained from announcing a move for the Egyptian sensation.
Salah's future is still up in the air since his contract with Liverpool expires at the conclusion of the current campaign, and no deal has been made to extend it.
The minister emphasized the cultural connections between Saudi Arabia and Egypt in an interview with Piers Morgan, expressing a great desire for Salah to play in Saudi football.
Although he said that the Saudi Pro League would be fortunate to have players like Salah, he left the ultimate choice up to the teams and continued discussions.
In addition, Prince Abdulaziz highlighted Saudi Arabia's desire to rank its league among the top five globally in terms of both viewership and economic power, and he indicated a readiness to work with European teams to accomplish this objective.
With 40 goals in 32 games in all competitions this season, Salah has been in outstanding form for Liverpool.
