Florent Ibenge extends his contract with Azam FC

The Congolese tactician will continue to lead the Tanzanian club’s coaching staff.

Having turned down the chance to take charge of the Mali national team, Florent Ibenge has decided to continue his adventure at Azam FC. The Congolese coach, who has been in post since the summer of 2025, has extended his contract by two years.

Ibenge’s new contract runs until 2028. This extension is a reward for his performances at the helm of Azam FC’s coaching staff. Under Florent Ibenge, the club sits on the podium of the Tanzanian Premier League after 25 matchdays. The Azam FC board has therefore decided to rely on the Congolese tactician to build their team.
