São Paulo Sign Dinenno After Striker Terminates Contract with Cruzeiro

Juan Ignacio Dinenno has been officially unveiled as São Paulo’s newest signing after mutually terminating his contract with Cruzeiro. As reported by Lance!, the 30-year-old Argentine striker completed his medical on Monday and signed a deal through December 2025, with an automatic extension clause based on performance targets.
Dinenno arrives to fill the void left by Jonathan Calleri, who suffered a season-ending ACL injury in his left knee. He will compete for minutes with top scorer André Silva and 18-year-old academy product Ryan Francisco.
Originally signed by Cruzeiro in early 2024, Dinenno made a solid start with eight goals in 22 appearances. But in August, he suffered a serious knee injury (ACL tear) against Internacional, sidelining him for months. He returned in April but featured in only five matches, falling down the pecking order behind Kaio Jorge and new arrival Gabigol.
Cruzeiro confirmed the contract termination on Tuesday, thanking Dinenno for his professionalism and commitment. Now under the guidance of Luis Zubeldía, the striker has already begun training with São Paulo and embraced the move. “This is my new home,” he stated during his presentation.
