Russian wrestlers in full refused to participate in the 2024 Olympic Games

Russian wrestlers have collectively refused to participate in the 2024 Olympic Games, as reported on the official website of the Russian Wrestling Federation.
After reviews by the IOC, 10 Russian wrestlers were granted permission to compete in the Paris Olympics under a neutral status. Initially, one female wrestler declined the invitation immediately, while the other nine confirmed their participation.
The lineup for Paris included four freestyle wrestlers, three female wrestlers, and two Greco-Roman wrestlers.
However, on the final day, the Russian athletes reversed their decision. They argued that the list of approved athletes was intended to "undermine the unity of the team," leading them to reject all licenses.
As a result, there will be a redistribution of the Olympic licenses according to the tournaments where the Russian athletes had qualified. Wrestlers from other countries will receive these licenses.
It is also noteworthy that earlier, Russian judokas had also decided to withdraw from the 2024 Olympics.
