Ronwen Williams: Bafana Bafana youngsters have done well for the national team since we arrived here in Morocco
Ronwen Williams is impressed at how Mohau Nkota, Sipho Mbule, Tshepang Moremi and Mbekezeli Mbokazi have acquainted themselves into the national side at Africa Cup of Nations.
The quartet are in their maiden Africa Cup of Nations and captain Williams has expressed joy at how these players have responded in the squad.
"It's amazing to be honest, and like I've said, playing in an AFCON tournament is not easy, but to see them fit in, looking good and looking comfortable, is great to see. There is definitely good things to build on," Williams told Sabc Sport.
"We started very well and everything seemed okay until they started putting pressure on us, but I also think we sat back with our 1-0 lead. Half-time came at the right time for us and we were glad not to concede another goal before the break.
Williams also saw Moremi’s introduction against Angola as a masterstrole decision as the national side started piling pressure on the Palancas Negras as soon as the Orlando Pirates man entered the field.
"We then made our changes, and I think Tshepang Moremi was one that was magnificent for us," he said.
Bafana next face Egypt on Friday in Agadir.
