Potential opponents revealed. Who will Bafana Bafana face in the Africa Cup of Nations playoffs?

Bafana Bafana have already played two matches at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. After a victory over Angola and a defeat to Egypt, the situation in Group B has become clearer for the South Africans.

Even a draw in the final round against Zimbabwe will guarantee Broos' squad second place (with Egypt having already secured the top spot). In this scenario, there is a high probability that Bafana Bafana's first playoff opponent will be either Cameroon or Ivory Coast.

After the first round, these very teams are leading Group F, the runner-up of which will face South Africa if they finish second in Group B.
