Hugo Broos: I hope you all saw what I meant when I said the MLS league is not one Mbekezeli Mbokazi should be shining on as he is class of his own
Mohamed Salah’s failure to trouble Bafana Bafana was all because Mbekezeli Mbokazi’s finesse as a defender.
The Chicago Fire defender justified why he is not supposed to play in MLS a he a class above that league.
Mbokazi moved to USA from Orlando Pirates early last month and Broos was highly critical of the move citing a ‘better’ league would have suited the defender.
This is according to Bafana coach Hugo Broos as Bafana lost 1-0 to Egypt via Salah controversial VAR penalty in Friday's Africa Cup of Nations Group B match.
“There were some angry people when I said a few weeks ago that it was not the best choice for him, you saw against Egypt, he was my Man of the Match, the way that guy played,” Broos said about Mbokazi’s display in Agadir.
“One thing in my mind still from the second half there was a deep ball to Salah, and he went in for the duel, Salah had no chance, no chance and that shows the quality of Mbokazi.
“You now understand why I’d be very angry if he ruins his career. This is a guy who can have a very big career, a very big career.”
