The Canadian star is now beginning his journey back to the football pitch with the first team.
Details: Today, the official FC Bayern Munich page on social network X announced that 25-year-old Canadian left-back Alphonso Davies has taken part in first-team training for the first time since suffering a serious cruciate ligament injury.
Davies sustained the injury in March 2025 while playing for the Canadian national team, and after a medical examination received a disappointing diagnosis—at least six months out of training.
Following surgery, fans also noticed muscle atrophy in Davies' knee, which will play a significant role in his recovery process. Bayern’s next match is scheduled for November 22 in the Bundesliga at home against Freiburg, but it’s still unclear whether Davies will feature in the squad.
Alphonso Davies joined Bayern in 2019 from Vancouver for €14 million. Over his time at the club, Davies has played 226 matches, scoring 14 goals and providing 35 assists.
His current contract with Bayern runs until 2030, and his market value is estimated at €50 million by Transfermarkt.
