Relebohile Mofokeng reveals his European ambition and that he can play at any league in the world
Relebohile Mofokeng has expressed joy at his World Cup debut match and disclosed his desire is to play abroad now.
The Orlando Pirates man was a second half substitute when Bafana Bafana drew 1-1 against Czechia last Thursday.
“Obviously, it was very special, but I think everyone did his best,” said Mofokeng, as per Sporty TV.
“I think the most important thing is to compete, and we came here to do that. I think I’m one of the people who can compete.”
When asked whether he felt comfortable competing against Europe-based players, he insisted that the PSL is one of the best leagues in the world.
Having shown that he can compete on the World Cup stage, Mofokeng believes he has what it takes to play anywhere in the world.
“I also believe I play in one of the best leagues in the world,” he added.
“I think I can compete anywhere. So, I think if you can compete here, you can compete anywhere in the world and in any league.
“So, I think we’re doing fine, we’re doing okay. We came here to compete and we’re doing very well.”
Mofokeng and his Bafana team-mates face South Korea this Thursday where he will be expected to play a stellar role in seeing them win.
