After eight months of absence, Real Madrid's main goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has returned to his team. Back in August, he tore his cruciate ligament, and after recovering in March, he injured his second knee, but now he is fully fit.

Courtois has been training with his teammates for the past week, allowing the team's coach Carlo Ancelotti to decide that their main goalkeeper is ready to return. The Belgian goalkeeper has been included in the squad for the first UEFA Champions League semi-final match against Bayern Munich, which will take place on Tuesday, April 30th.

Most likely, Courtois will not start in the upcoming match. Ancelotti is likely to continue using Andriy Lunin. However, in the return leg at the Santiago Bernabeu, Courtois could be guarding the goal, as reported by Diario AS.

For Carlo Ancelotti, Courtois's return to the squad is quite positive, but at the same time raises many questions. Lunin has performed well this season, but in recent weeks, things have not been going his way. He made mistakes in matches against Manchester City and Barcelona, and this could influence the decision of the Italian coach.

Also, it's worth noting that the issue of extending the contract with the Ukrainian goalkeeper at Real Madrid may have reached a deadlock, as Lunin has requested a salary increase to Courtois's level.
