Out of favour Kaizer Chifes striker Tashreeq Morris likely to be shipped off to Stellenbosch FC where he will reunite with his former coach Gavin Hunt
Tashreeq Morris is reportedly on his way to Stellenbosch FC from Kaizer Chiefs.
The striker is likely to unite with his former SuperSport United coach at Stellies as lack of game time at Kaizer Chiefs continues to hamper his career.
Actually, when he signed for Amakhosi from the now defunct SuperSport United, Morris was playing under Hunt, who has since joined Stellenbosch following the departure of long serving coach Steve Barker.
The striker’s stay at Chiefs has not been a fruitful one though as he has not featured in many games and when given a chance, he did not make his mark.
One thing he is remembered for at Chiefs is the penalty miss against Stellies in Cape Town in a Carling Knockout match.
That’s one opportunity which could have endeared him into the hearts of the Amakhosi faithful given that it was one of rarest opportunities of him earning a place in the line-up.
Now that he has not been as impressive for Chiefs and also the fact that his long time preferred coach in Hunt is in Cape Town, Morris could revive his career in the Cape Winelands side.
His move is expected to be finalised under the current transfer window.
