The group stage of Euro 2024 ended on 26 June, and at the end of it, different results are being summarised. But one of the most interesting is which associations were financially penalised by UEFA and by how much.

A study on the subject was released by The Athletic, which emphasises that monetary penalties were imposed on 21 of the 24 associations represented at the European Championship, to the tune of almost €1.3 million.

The list also included the German Football Association, but not for the violation of its fans or players, but for "failure to protect the field of play", which culminated in fans entering the pitch in Portugal's matches against Turkey and Georgia.

Eight associations, namely Hungary, Switzerland, Croatia, Hungary, Albania, Poland, Serbia, Romania and Belgium were fined for fan behaviour.

Only three associations, namely France, Slovakia and Spain, did not pay UEFA a cent at the end of the group stage.
