José Mourinho has addressed Vinicius Junior's situation ahead of Real Madrid's Champions League clash with AEK Athens.

Details: The Portuguese manager has made it clear that the Brazilian winger remains part of his European plans. Vinicius has been included in Real Madrid's squad for Wednesday's match against AEK Athens, which takes place on November 4. However, Mourinho has not guaranteed that the 26-year-old will be in the starting lineup.

The situation surrounding Vinicius has attracted considerable attention in recent weeks. The Brazilian is currently serving a four-match suspension in La Liga following his dismissal against Villarreal. However, the punishment does not apply to UEFA competitions, allowing him to represent Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Mourinho previously emphasized that he wants and needs Vinicius in his squad, while refusing to guarantee him a place in the starting eleven. The winger last appeared for Real Madrid on October 21, when the Spanish giants defeated RB Leipzig 4-1 in the Champions League.

It is worth noting that Real Madrid have won all three of their Champions League matches this season, defeating Inter, Roma and RB Leipzig. The Spanish giants have scored ten goals in those encounters and will look to maintain their perfect European record in Athens.
