Marcos Rojo Leaves Boca Juniors and Considers New Options

As reported by DSports, Marcos Rojo has decided to leave Boca Juniors after four years at the club. Although his contract ran through December, the defender opted to end his stint early and is now weighing offers from both Argentina and abroad.
Rojo was a key figure during Fernando Gago’s tenure, but tensions during the Club World Cup and a strained relationship with coach Miguel Ángel Russo contributed to his exit. Once seen as a leader, he gradually lost his place in the squad and was no longer a fan favorite, struggling both on and off the pitch.
Now a free agent, Rojo is considering a return to Estudiantes de La Plata, where he began his career. While he previously had disagreements with club president Juan Sebastián Verón, sources indicate the two have reconciled and a deal is possible.
Another potential destination is Inter Miami, where Lionel Messi currently plays. The MLS club had shown interest in Rojo in the past, and his departure from Boca could open the door for a move to the U.S.
