Algeria beat Niger 2-1 in friendly
Trailing at half-time, the Fennecs fought back after the break to snatch victory.
Niger took an early lead in the match played on 6 October at the Hocine Ait Ahmed Stadium in Tizi Ouzou. In the 13th minute, Konan Ndri found the back of the net to put the Mena 1–0 up.
Despite Algeria’s attempts to equalise, Niger held onto their lead until half-time. In the second half, the Fennecs stepped up the pace. Belloumi levelled the score at 1–1 in the 54th minute, completely turning the match on its head.
Algeria then continued to press and were awarded a penalty in the 72nd minute. Bensebaini coolly converted it to put the Fennecs 2–1 ahead.
The score remained unchanged until the final whistle. After a win against Zambia and a draw against Burundi in the first two matchdays of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, Algeria ended their international break on a high.
