Benin’s official line-up against Argentina revealed

The Cheetahs face the Albiceleste tonight in a friendly at the Estadio Monumental in Buenos Aires.

The match will kick off at 12 am Benin time on the night of Wednesday 7 October. This is a first for the Benin national team, which has never before faced Argentina on the international stage.

It also takes on historic significance as the Benin side will be playing in Lionel Messi’s farewell match with the Albiceleste. The global football legend will wear the national team’s shirt for the last time, and the Monumental will witness his final moments in Argentina’s colours.

Ahead of kick-off, Benin’s manager, Gernot Rohr, has revealed his starting XI. Marcel Dandjinou will be in goal. The defence will consist of Ouorou, Roche, Tijani and Omore. The midfield will be anchored by Hassane, D’Almeida and Olaitan, whilst the attack will be led by Yamirou, Aiyegun and Aloko.
