Man United preparing £60m bid for Premier League star in summer's priciest transfer
Manchester United remain active in the transfer market, setting their sights on Newcastle defender Lewis Hall. According to renowned insider Fabrizio Romano, United's management have already approved a potential deal, with the player himself considered a top priority for the club.
Romano reports that the 20-year-old left-back is highly rated by United’s sporting department, who see him as the perfect reinforcement for the squad. Meanwhile, Newcastle are determined to keep hold of their player and are keen to retain him in the team.
Despite Newcastle's stance, the Red Devils continue to explore the possibility of a transfer and maintain ongoing contact to assess the chances of a deal. The first official bid for Hall is expected to be tabled in the near future.
Earlier, TEAMtalk journalist Graeme Bailey reported that Newcastle value their defender at £60 million. Should the transfer go through on those terms, Hall would become United’s most expensive signing of the current transfer window, surpassing the fee for Andrey Santos, who joined the club for £50 million including bonuses.
