Lehlohonolo Mojela joins Sekhukhune United after being released by Stellenbosch FC ahead of the Betway Premiership return having done his medicals
Lehlohonolo Mojela has secured a move to Betway Premiership side Sekhukhune United.
Mojela has been club-less for the past two months having left Stellenbosch FC under a dark cloud.
The former Casric Stars man has been impressive for Stellies and it came as a shock to the football fraternity that he was transfer-listed alongside Lesiba Nku.
Mojela has undergone his medicals at Babina Noko and is expected to be drafted into Eric Tinkler’s side ahead of the second half of the Premiership season in three week’s time.
He joins a Sekhukhune Unted side wh o are third on the PSL standings with 25 points from 13 games.
Since joining Stellenbosch under departed Steve Barker last two years ago, Mojela has scored six goals and made 24 appearances for the Cape side.
Mojela’s team-mate Lesiba Nku is yet to find a team but this makes a third player from the Cape Winelands to leave the side as Andre de Jong has joined Orlando Pirates.
Interestingly, Sekhukhune United's game upon PSL return is against Stellenbosch FC and the spotlight may fall on Mojela.
