The legendary Swede Armand Duplantis continues to rewrite the history of pole vaulting.
Details: During the silver stage of the World Tour in the French city of Clermont-Ferrand, Duplantis set a new world record of 6.27 meters.
The previous world record was 6.26 meters.
This marks the 11th time in his career that Duplantis has broken the world record. He first set the world record in 2020, which then stood at 6.17 meters.
“I just feel good. What can I say: I came here for this. I put in all the effort to do it and I did it,” Duplantis commented on his record.
