New York Knicks basketball player Mitchell Robinson invited his former high school coach from Chalmette in New Orleans, Butch Stockton, to live with him, as reported by SI.

According to the coach, she was ill and hospitalized. Robinson, who played for Stockton in high school, visited the woman in the hospital every day. She passed away in September. After the funeral, Robinson offered Coach Stockton to live with him in New York while he was overcoming the loss. They are currently sharing the dwelling.

"Mitchell said, 'Coach, there's no reason for you to stay in Louisiana. Come move in with me in New York, take your mind off things, because you loved your wife so much,'" Stockton said.

Mitchell is an American professional basketball player who performs for the New York Knicks in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was selected in the 2018 NBA Draft in the second round, overall pick 36, by the New York Knicks and plays as a center.

Mitchell became the first player in history not to go to college, instead training independently for a whole season before entering the NBA Draft.
