Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Sibongiseni Mthethwa on his injury: I am not sure when will I return to full fitness
Sibongiseni Mthethwa’s is not sure when he will be back from his long term injury lay off.
The Kaizer Chiefs defensive midfielder has been missing for Amakhosi with Siphesihle Ndlovu claiming that position with man of the match displays.
Mthethwa had made the position his before he got injured last month with timely tackles and interceptions.
But injury hampered that progress.
“It’s been hard, but I’m getting there and improving. Hopefully, I will be back soon, even though I can’t say exactly when that will be,” said Mthethwa on FarPost.
“This is my first time dealing with a long-term injury, but the support from the team, including the doctors, has been great. Even my teammates are helping me a lot.”
Chiefs lost to Mthethwa’s former club Stellenbosch FC in the Nedbank Cup in midweek and the midfielder watched from the stands.
Tomorrow they host Egyptian side Al Masry in a Caf Confederation Cup match in Limpopo, a match seen a cup final for Amakhosi.
While he is still not sure when he will be back in the team, Siphesihle Ndlovu is likely to continue impressing in midfield.
