All the fixtures of the 20th round of the 2025/2026 Betway Premiership season in South Africa took place on March 3rd and 4th.
On Tuesday, Kaiser Chiefs suffered their fourth consecutive defeat, Siwelele and Stellenbosch drew a blank, while Orbit College secured their second away win of the season.
The next day, AmaZulu and Magesi couldn't find a winner, Marumo triumphed away at Chippa United, and Durban and Sekhukhune shared the spoils. The title contenders, Mamelodi and Pirates, both clinched synchronized victories: Sundowns overcame Golden Arrows at home, while Orlando outmuscled Polokwane on the road.

Goalkeeper: Cyril Chibwe (Orbit College)
Chibwe joined Orbit College during the winter transfer window and immediately claimed the number one spot. In the clash against TS Galaxy, the Zambian keeper was the standout performer, even though he conceded once. Boasting a remarkable 8 saves, he was instrumental in clinching a narrow victory and lifting the side to 14th in the standings.
Left back: Deon Hotto (Orlando Pirates)
Despite his veteran status, Hotto continues to impress with his work rate. The 35-year-old Namibian international put in a massive shift against Polokwane, creating two clear-cut chances, firing shots on goal, and delivering five incisive passes. Hotto also contributed defensively: 2 interceptions, 1 clearance, and over 70% duels won.
Centre back: Taariq Fielies (AmaZulu)
AmaZulu shared the points at home with Magesi, spending a quarter of the match down to ten men. Fielies was a rock at the heart of defence and played a major role in keeping a clean sheet. He registered 2 tackles, 2 interceptions, 7 clearances, and won 7 out of 12 duels.
Centre back: Nyiko Mobbie (Siwelele)
Siwelele have now kept three consecutive clean sheets, with Mobbie a consistent presence at centre-back. The encounter against Stellenbosch was tough, but the defender was always in the right place at the right time, helping to keep the opposition at bay. Mobbie was never dribbled past, blocked one shot, made one tackle, and produced eight clearances.
Right back: Khuliso Mudau (Mamelodi Sundowns)
Mudau once again stood out in a tough contest against Golden Arrows. The fullback was solid defensively with 2 tackles and 1 interception, while also posing a constant threat going forward. His relentless runs down the flank caused headaches for the opposition and led to a key chance created.
Central midfielder: Teboho Mokoena (Mamelodi Sundowns)
The Bafana Bafana midfielder netted his first goal of the Betway Premiership season. In the 28th minute against Golden Arrows, Teboho opened the scoring with a thunderous strike from the edge of the box. Mokoena was also eager to take on defenders and was constantly involved in the build-up, racking up two shots and two key passes.
Central midfielder: Thulani Gumede (Richards Bay)
Gumede only recently returned to the Richards Bay starting lineup but repaid the coach’s faith handsomely against Amakhosi. The 24-year-old was a constant threat in the final third, delivered key passes, took on defenders, and in the 69th minute scored the only goal of the game—his first of the season.
Central midfielder: Arthur Sales (Mamelodi Sundowns)
The Brazilian provided an assist for the second match in a row. Overall, Sales was one of the most influential players on the pitch in the clash between Mamelodi and Golden Arrows. He frequently drove at defenders, completed five incisive passes, created two clear scoring chances, and played a vital role in Sundowns’ hard-fought win.
Left winger: Relebohile Mofokeng (Orlando Pirates)
The 21-year-old Pirates’ star continues to make a massive impact for his side. Against Polokwane, Mofokeng was once again on target, bagging his fifth goal across all competitions this season. Rele was sharp to pounce on a rebound and helped his team secure another vital win.
Right winger: Patrick Maswanganyi (Orlando Pirates)
Maswanganyi entered the fray in the 77th minute but still managed to be one of the heroes of the match. In a short space of time, he fired four shots on goal and missed a great chance to score. But his crowning moment was the dramatic 90th-minute winner, steering home Hotto’s cross at the far post.
Centre forward: Igraam Rayners (Mamelodi Sundowns)
After his brace against Sekhukhune, Rayners displaced Leon from the starting XI and found the net once again. This time, Golden Arrows were the victims, and the Mamelodi striker notched his 12th goal across all competitions this season. Besides his goal, Rayners squandered two more golden opportunities and could have given his side a bigger cushion before Adams was sent off.

The reigning South African champions had to dig deep to edge out Golden Arrows. In the first half, the "Brazilians" overwhelmed their opponents, and after a red card early in the second period, the coach reacted swiftly with substitutions, steering his side to a sixth consecutive Betway Premiership victory and earning Coach of the Month honors.
