Aliou Cisse, coach of the Libyan national team since March 2025, is working in difficult conditions. This is due to the financial crisis facing the Libyan Football Federation. The direct consequence of this situation is the non-payment of salaries to the national team's staff. Hired for a salary of $80,000 per month, Aliou Cisse has not been paid for eight months. This was revealed by the president of the Libyan Football Federation, Abdulmola Al-Maghribi.

The Senegalese tactician was able to receive his first six months' salary after his arrival in 2025 thanks to public funds granted to the Federation.
