Ivorian Ligue 1: full results from Matchday 3

Matchday 3 of the Ivorian professional league concluded on Monday 12 October, following eight matches characterised by both expected results and surprises.

Another disappointing performance from ASEC Mimosas, a second consecutive victory for FC San Pedro and a setback for leaders Yamoussoukro FC. Reigning champions ASEC Mimosas were held to a draw at home once again. Facing AFAD, the Yellow and Blacks could manage no better than a 1–1 draw. Another shared result for the club, which thus missed the chance to secure a win in front of their home crowd.

Meanwhile, FC San Pedro continued their fine run of form. Beating Bouaké FC 3–0, the club secured a second consecutive victory and continue to climb the league table.

The leaders of the Ivorian Ligue 1, newly promoted Yamoussoukro FC, were also held to a draw. Away to Stella Club, they conceded a 1-1 draw. Despite this result, the Yamoussoukro side retain top spot in the table.
