World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka stunned the tennis world with her statement at the post-match press conference.
Details: After a sensational and painful quarterfinal defeat at Roland Garros to the 25th seed Diana Shnaider, where the ranking leader lost the deciding set 0-6, Sabalenka couldn't hide her emotions and admitted to being in the depths of a mental crisis.

The tennis star openly spoke about her desire to take a break from her career:
“No thoughts, no emotions. Right now, I just want to quit tennis. Let's see how I feel in a few days. I hope I can get back on track mentally.”
Sabalenka appeared completely devastated and empty, with the Parisian courts once again proving to be her toughest psychological challenge.
To somehow cope with the mounting negativity and frustration after her fiasco, Aryna chose a rather radical way to release her emotions.
“Tomorrow I'll spend the whole day in a room where you can smash everything, breaking things to pieces,” she added.
Reminder: Novak Djokovic dropped to 30th in the world rankings and exited Roland Garros.
