Hugo Broos leaves Themba Zwane out of his Africa Cup of Nations squad to include young duo of Tylon Smith and Shandre Campbell
Shandre Campbell and Tylon Smith are going to the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco with Bafana Bafana in their maiden call-ups.
The duo is graduating from the Under-20 national side as they are now drafted into the senior national side.
It is unfathomable how Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos reached the conclusion of calling up the pair for their maiden senior national tournament having not featured them in any qualifiers before.
Whether English Championship side QPR and Belgian side Club Brugge, will release Smith and Campbell , respectively, it remains to be seen.
The biggest omission to the squad is veteran midfielder Themba Zwane who was expected to make the squad to Morocco for the continent’s spectacle.
Zwane has been largely injured and only returned to the Sundowns side recently but Broos decided against calling him.
The Squad:
Goalkeepers: Ronwen Williams, Sipho Chaine, Ricardo Goss
