Hugo Broos: Thembinkosi Lorch is still not the type of player to be in my Bafana Bafana plans
Hugo Broos has again reiterated his stance on South Africa's Wydad Casablanca midfielder Thembinkosi Lorch.
The Bafana Bafana coach is of the view that Lorch is not a player he would consider for the national side.
There has been lot of shouts from sections of football followers and analysts on Broos to include the former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns player into national side.
But the Belgian he is not entertaining such calls.
“First instance, this is a choice. I think I have 45 players or something like that where I can choose. So, you have to make choices. That is one,” said the Belgian as Bafana as Bafana won their opening Africa Cup of Nations tournament against Angola last Monday.
“Secondly, everybody is talking about Lorch, Lorch, Lorch. I didn’t hear or see him in the last three years. He was playing in Pirates, and they kicked him out. He was playing in Sundowns, but they kicked him out. He was playing in Wydad Casablanca, I think. He didn’t play anymore. And now suddenly he plays well.
“I did my choice and made my choice, and that’s it. I can maybe give you some other names, maybe this one or that one or another one. You know, when I make my choices, I make my choices on my own. And that’s it.”
