The Cyprus-based Maseko scored in the second half against South Korea
Thapelo Maseko goal was enough to see South Africa finish second in World Cup's Group A when he netted against South Korea.
Maseko finished calmly inside the box after a pass Tshepang Moremi, who came in as a substitute for Oswin Appollis.
This victory sees Bafana finish on four points behind group winners, Mexico, who had nine points from all their three matches.
Bafana will now face co-hosts in Canada in the round of last-32 which is history for the South African side who go past the group stage for the first time in history.
