Following an independent investigation, President of the FIA Ben Sulayem has been exonerated, as reported by the World Motorsport Federation.

According to the FIA Ethics Committee, no evidence of Ben Sulayem attempting to intervene in race outcomes was found, including in communications with 11 witnesses.

"The FIA Ethics Committee, supported by external advisors, meticulously investigated allegations of potential interference in sporting decisions during the 2023 Formula 1 races. After reviewing the investigation results, the Ethics Committee unanimously concluded that there is no evidence supporting allegations against FIA President Ben Sulayem," the statement reads.

The Ethics Committee added that a thorough and independent investigation lasting 30 days was conducted, resulting in the clearance of the FIA President from any wrongdoing.

It is worth recalling that FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem was under investigation for allegedly attempting to interfere in Formula 1 races. He was purportedly involved in attempting to overturn a penalty imposed on Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in 2023.
