Fulham vice-president says ready to say goodbye to team leader
Despite the fact that Fulham's supporting midfielder Joao Palhinha is a key player of the team, the bosses of the "dachshunds" are ready to say goodbye to him, but on one condition.
As stated by the vice-president of the London club Tony Khan, every important player is sold at a reasonable price. He cited Aleksandar Mitrovic as an example, who they wanted to keep in the team, but the £50m offer from Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal "made sense for everyone".
Palinha was close to leaving Fulham last summer. He travelled to Munich on the final day of the transfer window to sign a contract with Bayern Munich, but the deal fell through due to Fulham failing to find a suitable replacement for the Portuguese.
Earlier, it was reported that Palhinha has attracted interest from Manchester City, who are ready to pay £50m for the player.
