Elias Mokwana had not been forgotten by Hugo Broos as the Saudi based player returns to Bafana Bafana in a massive way
Elias Mokwana had been forgotten by everyone except Hugo Broos.
The former Sekhukhune United and Esperance midfielder had seem to have fallen into the international football oblivion.
Or as some call it, Mokwana had fallen into football wilderness as the Al-Hazem player had not been part of the national side for a reasonable period enough for him not to be part of the squad.
But the Belgian-coach Broos revealed that he has been following the Saudi-based midfielder for a while with the aim of engineering his return to the national side.
“In the past months, we looked at several games of Elias in Al-Hazem and he was playing very good even though he didn’t play really on his position,” said Broos.
“They use him as a striker, as a central striker. But that means also for us that if we should need someone there, that we always can use Elias.
“At the other way, he’s in very good shape and I like wingers who are very quick, I like wingers who have action and I think Elias is someone like that.
