Cuban wrestler Mijaín López won his fifth consecutive gold medal at the Olympics in wrestling.
The 41-year-old López excelled in the men's Greco-Roman wrestling in the 130 kg weight category. In the final match, the wrestler defeated Yasmani Acosta from Chile.
The bronze medals were shared by Meng Lingjie from China and Amin Mirzazadeh from Iran.
For López, this gold medal is his fifth consecutive one at the Olympic Games. The Cuban previously won gold in Beijing 2008, London 2012, Rio 2016, and Tokyo 2020. He has become the first wrestler in history to win five Olympic gold medals.
