Cool story. A father replaced his injured jockey son and won a prestigious race in Canada

David Moran secured his biggest win in the last two years after being called in to replace his injured teenage son.
Details: Moran Sr. claimed an emotional victory, surging ahead at the start of the final stretch and beating his rival by a length. David wore a yellow cap with his son's name on it.
Quote: "I rode this horse for Pietro. He was with me. Before the race, he called me and explained how to handle the horse, so essentially, he was in the saddle, and I was just guiding her. The mare was amazing, she started to accelerate powerfully at the beginning of the final stretch, and it felt like Pietro was leading her from behind," David Moran said after the win.
Additionally: 18-year-old Pietro Moran, the leading apprentice jockey of the season in Canada, was the regular rider of the mare Fashionably Fab. The jockey was set to ride her in the Ontario Mation Stakes with a prize fund of £114,000, held in Woodbine, Toronto, on Saturday. However, a few days before the race, Pietro fell and broke his spine, putting him out of action indefinitely.
