Normally the end of the transfer window in England comes on 1 September, but some clubs, including Chelsea London, will have for the most key deals until June 30. What is it?

The fault lies in the deplorable state of the club. "Pensioners" now have a financial loss of 211.5 million pounds for the last two seasons, while the rules allow clubs to go into a minus of only 105 million pounds for three seasons.

That will prompt Chelsea to make sales before June 30 - a day which, according to Football Insider, will be the unofficial second transfer deadline, as it is on the last day of the first summer month that the financial year closes, against which clubs are judged in the context of financial fair play.

In order to avoid being penalised with the removal of points or relegation, Stamford Bridge will be forced to make the biggest exit transfers before this date.

Perhaps the big example for Chelsea will be Nottingham Forrest, who refused to sell their player on the last day of the close of the financial year for an amount the club did not fit into financial fair-play and which soon led to the team being dropped four points from the Premier League.
