Chelsea shows interest in young Polish talent, but it's not that simple

The Polish league captured attention last season thanks to Legia and Jagiellonia advancing to the Conference League quarter-finals. One of their European rivals, London’s Chelsea, has also turned its gaze toward the local market.
Details: According to Polish media, the “Blues” have set their sights on 18-year-old central defender Bright Ede from Motor Lublin. The young player made his debut for the newly promoted Ekstraklasa side only on March 30 in a match against Stal Mielec—and marked the occasion with a goal.
However, Motor value their emerging star—who was previously overlooked by Zagłębie Lubin, allowing Ede to move to Lublin. Reports indicate the club is not willing to let the defender leave for anything less than the current Ekstraklasa transfer record. That figure stands at €11 million, but so far, Chelsea and other clubs have yet to make a formal offer.
For the record: Ede has played only nine professional matches—six in the Ekstraklasa and another three in the Second League.
