Chelsea has secured a long-term agreement with head coach Liam Rosenior. The contract spans 6.5 years and will be valid until June 2032, according to Topskills Sports UK.
Crucially, the deal includes key provisions designed to safeguard the club’s financial interests. If Rosenior is dismissed before the end of his term, he will not receive the full remaining salary on his contract. Instead, the severance package is capped at an estimated £4 to £10 million—significantly lower than the total contract value.
This approach is a direct response by Chelsea’s management to past experiences: the club previously had to pay over £36 million in compensation to sacked former managers. The new contract model underlines the Blues’ commitment to a more strategic staffing policy and a long-term effort to minimize financial risk.
