The squad list published on Monday 7 September by the Cameroon head coach for the upcoming FIFA window features some notable absentees.

Following the exclusion of Andre Onana and Vincent Aboubakar since the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, other well-known figures from the Cameroon squad have not been called up for the September–October 2026 international break. Nouhou Tolo, who had taken over the captain’s armband following the exclusion of Andre Onana and Vincent Aboubakar, has not been called up for the matches against the Comoros, Congo and Ivory Coast.

The Seattle Sounders left-back does not feature on the squad list unveiled by David Pagou on 7 September. The other notable absentees from David Pagou’s squad are Enzo Ebosse, Dina Ebimbe and Aaron Bibout.

None of these players will feature in the first two fixtures of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Comoros on 24 September at the Roumde Adjia Stadium, and against Congo on 29 September in Brazzaville. The Indomitable Lions will also face the Elephants of Ivory Coast on 3 October in an international friendly.
