Canada women's national team fires head coach a day before Olympics start due to cheating allegation

Yesterday, the Canadian women's national football team began their campaign at the 2024 Olympics with a 2-1 victory over New Zealand. However, instead of head coach Bev Priestman, her assistant Andy Spence led the team.
It was revealed that the Canadian Football Federation suspended Priestman due to misconduct. New Zealand lodged a complaint against Canada, alleging that their coaching staff used a drone to spy on New Zealand's training sessions.
Priestman has already issued an apology for her actions:
"I first and foremost want to apologise to the players and staff at New Zealand Football and to the players on Team Canada. This does not represent the values that our team stands for. I am ultimately responsible for conduct in our program."
Spence will serve as the head coach of the Canadian women's national team for the remainder of the 2024 Olympics.
It is worth noting that Canada are the reigning Olympic champions, having sensationally triumphed in 2021 under Priestman's leadership.
