From Thursday to Sunday, June 27-30, another PGA Tour tournament, the Rocket Mortgage Classic, took place, where a historic event unfolded.

Australian golfer Cameron Davis emerged as the champion of this tournament, despite not being considered a favorite or part of the contenders' list before the final round. Aaron Rai and Akshay Bhatia were seen as the frontrunners, starting the final day at -17 under par.

However, during the course of the final round, Cameron Davis surged to the top and tied with Akshay Bhatia at -18 under par. Davis finished his round first and prepared for a potential playoff. Bhatia had a chance to continue the battle for the title but missed a short putt, committing a bogey and conceding victory to his opponent.

Cameron Davis has now won the Rocket Mortgage Classic for the second time, following his first victory in 2021. Furthermore, he becomes the first golfer in the history of this tournament to win it twice.
