Caf President Patrice Motsepe: The Moroccan edition of the Africa Cup of Nations is by far the best in the tournament's history
Patrice Motsepe has declared this year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco as a resounding success.
The Caf President said the 35th edition of the continental competition in North Africa is by far the best in its history.
"This has been the single most successful AFCON in the history of the competition," Motsepe said, as per Pulse Sports.
"The quality of the football has been world-class, as has the quality of the stadiums and the infrastructure."
While Motsepe hailed the tournament and also predicted the next spectacle in East Africa to be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania will be a level higher than this year’s.
"I am confident that the AFCON in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania will be enormously successful," Motsepe declared.
"We are not going to take the competition away from these countries."
This evening the Afcon curtain falls as Senegal face hosts Morocco in what is described as a pulsating final to be.
