Brighton Midfielder Carlos Baleba Still Keen on Manchester United Move

Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba still wants a move to Manchester United.

The Cameroonian player was the subject of negotiations between the two clubs during the 2025 summer transfer window, with Manchester United believed to have agreed terms verbally with the player at that time. However, a deal was not completed, and Baleba remained at Brighton.

Romano reports that the understanding between player and club has remained intact since 2025, keeping the possibility of a future transfer very much alive. Manchester United will sign at least two midfielders with Casemiro departing Old Trafford as a free agent.
