Last season, Bologna under Thiago Motta showed outstanding results and managed to qualify for the Champions League. It is no wonder that against the backdrop of such performances, top clubs are interested in the team's players, which the Rossoblu realise perfectly well.

According to Bologna technical director Giovanni Sartori, the club have already come to terms with the departure of striker Joshua Zirkzee, who has been linked with Manchester United:

"He has a clausula, so with 99.9 per cent probability he will leave. We have been thinking about his replacement for months. It won't be easy, but we will work to replace him, we have a few names."

The functionary is far more categorical in his interest in defender Ricardo Calafiori, who has been linked with Juventus of Turin:

"We signed him a year ago, so we'll see what happens in the market, but in our heads we have the will to keep him. If important offers come in, we will have to consider them. I don't think he will go to Juventus, he will probably go to another market," Sartori told Sky Sport Italia.
